Backed: Warranty & Claim Kit ("Backed") helps you keep receipts, warranties and return windows in one place. This policy explains what happens to your information. Questions: vaishalibenkakadiya06@gmail.com.

Your purchases stay on your phone

Everything you add (item names, stores, dates, prices, serial numbers, notes, receipt and product photos) is stored only on your device. Backed has no account system and no server that receives your purchases. We cannot see, sell or share them.

Receipt scanning

When you add a receipt photo, Backed reads the text with Apple's on-device text recognition to suggest the store, date and total. The photo and the recognised text never leave your device.

Camera and photo library

Backed asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to attach a receipt or product photo. Selected photos are copied into Backed's private storage on your device.

Reminders and notifications

Warranty and return reminders are scheduled locally on your device. If you allow notifications, Backed may also receive occasional announcements through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). For that, a device token is created by Apple/Google; it is not linked to your purchases.

Claim packs and backups

A claim pack PDF or a backup file is created on your device and only goes where you send it through the share sheet (for example email, Files or AirDrop). Keep backup files somewhere safe: they contain your purchase details and photos.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address and ad interaction data to show and measure ads. In regions where consent is required we ask first using Google's consent form, and on iOS personalised ads are used only if you allow tracking. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. Remove Ads turns off all ads.

App configuration

Backed downloads a small settings file (for example which ads are enabled and support links) from our server. This request contains the app's identifier, not information about you or your purchases. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs such as IP address for security.

Purchases

Remove Ads is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is handled by Apple or Google; Backed only receives confirmation that the purchase is valid.

Children

Backed is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Deleting your data

Delete an item in the app to remove it and its photos. Deleting the app removes everything stored by Backed on your device.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
